Livorno is Italy's second largest port and serves as the gateway to the Tuscany region. After meeting your party at the dock, our english speaking driver will drive you towards Pisa (30min drive). Here, you'll make a brief photo stop by Campo dei Miracoli, or Miracle Square. Marvel at the exterior of the Campanile, better known as the Leaning Tower.
Then we will drive to the fascinating city of Florence. Situated on both banks of the Arno River, Florence had a significant impact on the culture of Italy and all of Europe.
The first stop at San Miniato al Monte, a quiet place
on the top of the hill upon Florence nearby the busy Michelangelo
Square, from which you can enjoy a breathless view of the city
while we will tell you about some of the churches, palaces and bridges
you are seeing.
Than we’ll drive down the hill to the historical center through
a narrow road along the old Roman Walls and get into Florence through
an ancient gate, S.Niccolo.
If you have a reservation (another our no-additional fee service)
we’ll stop at the Academia Museum
where you could admire the statue of David by
Michelangelo and/or the Uffizi Gallery
with some of the greatest painting masterpieces. ( we remember you
that Academia and Uffizi are closed on Monday)
After visiting the museums you’ll have time for lunch and explore
the historical center with the Cathedral of Santa
Maria del Fiore and the Baptistery,
Signoria Square and the Old
Palace, Ponte Vecchio
with its tinyes jewels and gold shops. Shopping time at your request.
Finally an optional stop in Santa Croce Church,
where the leather shops area and we’ll drive you back to the ship
through a relaxing country road.
