Pick up in the morning from the port and through the beautiful countryside of Tuscany, reach after about one hour and a half the Medieval town of San Gimignano, located on the top of a hill and famous for its towers. You will live a different and involving experience combining food, art and culture. In an equipped kitchen of a characteristic country home, guided by a skilled cook you will be taught how to prepare a full typical Tuscan menu and to match wines in about two hour and half time. The course is followed by lunch where prepared dishes will be served accompanied by matching wines. Return back to Livorno port after lunch.

This is the program

  • 8.30 a.m. - Departure from Livorno Port.
  • 10.00 a.m. - Stop in San Gimignano for a short sighseeing
  • 10.30 a.m. - Arriving at the farm and welcom to all the people attending the cooking class.
  • 10.30 p.m. - Introduction of the Cook, the aim and the means of the lesson and beginning of the lesson/practice.
  • 14.30 p.m. - Lunch in the garden altogether ( or in the restaurant hall in case of bad weather) with the prepared dishes.
  • 15.00 p.m. - Visit to the property and wine cellar with wine tasting of 3 wines, with possibility to buy wines and olive oil.
  • 16.00 p.m. - Return back to Livorno Port.

THE MENU:
- mixed Tuscan starter, made of Bruschetta with tomatoes and basil, mixed toasts, grilled vegetables or other vegetables
- first course typical of Tuscany like RIBOLLITA or PANZANELLA
- main course: Baked chicken Housewife way with aromatic herbs of our garden and potatoes.
